We are a group
of ordinary people, friends, acquaintances and strangers who
are passionate about making a difference to women's health
with humour, fun and friendship through innovative
fundraising activities.
..
Our
committee is made up of motivated women and men from
Melbourne and Sydney who have joined forces with
The Royal Women’s Hospital,
to celebrate 150 years of service and to raise funds for
their ongoing support of the community.
The
Royal Women’s Hospital is Australia's largest
specialist
institution dedicated to supporting and improving the health
of women
and babies, and is recognised internationally for leading
medical research and innovation in perinatal medicine,
gynaecological cancers, female
and male infertility and urogynaecology.
.
The
objective of The Glitter Ball 2007 is to raise
$250,000
to
fund the acquisition of a Laser Co2 for cervical and
ovarian cancer treatment; a Neonatal Incubator for
premature babies; an Urodynamics Computer for the
Urogynaecology department, and to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of The Royal Women’s
Hospital.
.
We are
proud to celebrate the dedication and achievements of this much-loved
Victorian icon.
